What We’re Tracking:
- Heat sticks around this week
- Most areas dry through the week
- Storm chances later this weekend
The stretch of hot weather still ahead. Temperatures tonight drop into the lower 70s.
Mostly sunny and hot for Wednesday with highs in the upper 90s to near 100, but the heat index will peak out in the lower to middle 100s by Wednesday afternoon. This pattern will hold through Friday with highs near the 100-degree mark each day.
Temperatures stay hot this weekend, but a chance for a few storms, especially late Sunday into early Monday should break the heat for next week.
