TOPEKA (KSNT) – Police have identified the city’s latest homicide victim after a deadly shooting last weekend.
Police say the most recent homicide victim has been identified as Destiny Voss, 28, of Topeka. This marks the ninth homicide investigation of 2025.
Officers with the Topeka Police Department (TPD) were called around 11:30 p.m. on July 6 regarding a gunshot victim at a local hospital. The gunshot victim, later identified as Voss, was suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound and died.
The TPD said the shooting occurred in the 3200 block of Southwest Randolph Avenue. Police say the shooting is under investigation.
