BUTLER COUNTY (KSNT) – A 30-year-old woman was seriously injured after striking a deer and losing control of her vehicle in Butler County on Thursday.
At 2:20 a.m., the 30-year-old woman was driving north on I-35 when she hit a deer. The woman lost control of the vehicle, hitting a median barrier before coming to rest in the north side ditch, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP).

The woman was taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The KHP reported that she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
