TOPEKA (KSNT) – Federal health officials say freeze-dried fruit packages sold at retail stores across the nation are being recalled as they may be contaminated with listeria.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on Thursday, July 31 that Doehler Dry Ingredient Solutions, LLC is recalling its Member’s Mark Freeze Dried Fruit Variety Pack 15-count boxes. The FDA reports the recall was started after internal testing showed the products may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.
Listeria can cause serious illnesses, especially in vulnerable groups such as young children, older adults and pregnant women, according to the FDA. Healthy individuals who contract listeria may experience a high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Listeria can cause pregnant women to experience miscarriages and stillbirths.

Federal officials report the products were distributed through Sam’s Club retail store locations in 43 states between July 1, 2025 and July 25, 2025. States included in this recall include the following: AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, PR, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, WY. All of the recalled products bear UPC 1 93968 50900 2 and include the following LOT/MFG codes and “use by” dates:
- LOT/MFG code – 25175. Use by date – June 24, 2027.
- LOT/MFG code – 25176. Use by date – June 25, 2027.
- LOT/MFG code – 25177. Use by date – June 26, 2027.
- LOT/MFG code – 25181. Use by date – June 30, 2027.

People are encouraged not to eat the recalled fruit products. The FDA said that if you purchased one of the recalled products, you should either throw it away or return it.
