TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Topeka Zoo & Conservation Center will be open later into the evening for a special event for families and another for adults that will be happening throughout August.
The Topeka Zoo will be staying open until 8 p.m. on Aug. 6, 13, 20 and 27. Attendees will need to show up before 7:30 p.m. for admission to participate. Regular zoo admission applies and zoo members can enter for free.
The special evening events will let families explore the Lorikeet Aviary, Security Benefit Children’s Zoo and the rainforest dome during twilight hours.

For adults 21 and older, the zoo will host its Night Out at the Zoo on Aug. 8, 15, 22 and 29. Attendees will be able to enjoy live entertainment, food trucks and carts serving adult beverages and the Oasis Airstream Mobile Bar that will be parked inside the zoo on Aug. 15, 22 and 29.
Gates open for Night Out at the Zoo starting at 5:30 p.m. and will cost $10 for entry with final entry at 8 p.m.
