TOPEKA (KSNT) – Portions of the Capital City’s Law Enforcement Center were closed to the general public Wednesday due to maintenance problems.
The Topeka Police Department (TPD) announced in a press release on Aug. 6 the lobby and Property Room at the Law Enforcement Center were closed for the next few hours. The TPD said the issues that prompted the closure is being caused by ongoing maintenance problems.
“The Topeka Police Department is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and appreciates the community’s patience and understanding during this time.”

City of Topeka spokesman said the issue was resolved just before 2 p.m. on Aug. 6. The lobby is open again to visitors.
