TOPEKA (FOX 43) – Two of the scholar athletes featured in our Scholar Athlete of the Week Program have been recognized with $2,500 scholarship checks.
Kansas 811 gave $2,500 to Isabelle Haggard, a recent Washburn Rural graduate and tennis standout. She graduated in the top 10% of her class and will attend the University of Indianapolis.

Briggs Auto Group donated $2,500 to Kaden Peterson, a Nemaha Central graduate who is headed to Kansas State. Peterson was a member of the basketball and baseball teams at Nemaha Central.
Haggard and Peterson were selected at random from the weekly scholar athletes we highlighted on FOX 43 News throughout the year.
