CLAY COUNTY (KSNT) – One man is seriously injured and a home is destroyed following an explosion in Clay County on Tuesday.
Phil Kasper with the Clay Center Fire Department told 27 News that authorities were notified of a house on fire around 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 19 in the 1400 block of Frontier Road. He said the home was destroyed in an explosion that was possibly fueled by propane.
Kasper said a man at the residence was severely injured in the explosion and taken to a local hospital. He said the Clay County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the situation and has contacted the Kansas State Fire Marshal for assistance.
