LAWRENCE (KSNT) – Kansas football head coach Lance Leipold sat down and talked about the Jayhawks’ upcoming season on K-Nation.
Leipold enters his fifth season leading the ‘Hawks. At the helm, he’s led the team to 22 wins over the past four seasons. Kansas finished the 2024 season with a 5-7 record and 4-5 in Big 12 conference play.
“Five seasons, time has flown by,” Leipold said.
After calling Kansas City home last season, the anticipation is building up in Lawrence as Kansas will be back home in the newly renovated David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium this season.
“You know last year was unique playing off campus, and having the chance to play in two outstanding venues,” Leipold said. “But it’s going to mean a lot to be back home.”
KU will open the regular season on Aug. 23 in the Booth against Fresno State.
