OVERBROOK (KSNT) – USD 434 has announced that it will be receiving an award from the Patterson Family Foundation to support the district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
The district was awarded $324,000 that will be used to launch Charger Enterprises, a student-led business initiative, according to a press release from USD 434. The grant will give students the chance to operate school-based businesses.
Charger Enterprises will offer real-world experience in areas including:
- Agricultural fabrication through welding, construction and greenhouse sciences.
- Entrepreneurship and business through a school coffee shop.
- Marketing and design through promotions, advertising and brand development.
