CONCORDIA (KSNT) – A 76-year-old man from Concordia died after a mechanical issue caused his airplane to crash in Cloud County.
At 7:26 p.m. on Sunday, 76-year-old David Kadel was flying an ultralight Rans S-21 Airaile that took off from Concordia. A mechanical issue caused the plane to lose altitude and go into a nosedive toward the ground, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP).

Kadel’s next of kin was notified, according to the KHP.
