OZAWKIE (KSNT) – On Wednesday, a search effort was spearheaded in an attempt to find a missing man named Patrick Crim. Jefferson County shared an update on the efforts.
According to Jefferson County Emergency Manager Keith Jeffers, the search teams didn’t find anything indicating that Crim was at the Paradise Point search area. He said now the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office will continue investigating.
Jeffers said there were eight different drone teams, 10 dog teams, three water search boats, a KHP helicopter and more than 40 volunteers who helped with the search.

“The Kansas National Guard also provided helicopter fly-over views on Wednesday during their exercises, with nothing reported,” Jeffers said.
Jeffers shared that various agencies from Jefferson County, Atchison County and Shawnee County helped with the search. He also recognized the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas Wildlife and Parks, Kansas Urban Search & Rescue and others for their assistance.

Crim, a 34-year-old white man, has been missing from the ABATE Bike Rally at Paradise Point in Ozawkie, Kansas, since Saturday, Aug. 30. Crim was last seen at 9:45 p.m. wearing a tan t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, and slide-on sandals. He may have been carrying a silver flashlight and wearing a ballcap, although these details are uncertain.
