TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Topeka-Shawnee County Sports Hall of Fame honors athletes, coaches, administrators and media who have made an impact on the sports world in Kansas and beyond.
The hall of fame has been holding induction ceremonies since 2006. This year’s inductees are Brenda Stolle, Bob Davis, Trey Lewis, Duane Zlatnik, and Jerad Head.
150-year-old Kansas family band to make their Winfield debut
Jerad Head tells 27 News that he is honored to be induction to the prestigious group. Heard played as a left-fielder and pinch hitter for the Cleveland Indians and now works for Mammoth Sports Construction.
“It was exciting, its always an honor. a lot of great athletes come out of Topeka,” said Heard. “A lot of great players, great athletes, great people, and being inducted into this group me i know several of them, so it was an honor.”
