TOPEKA (KSNT) – Paranormal experts are searching for the supernatural this fall across northeast Kansas and are inviting people to tag along.
The approaching arrival of the spookiest holiday of the year is bringing with it opportunities for people to explore reportedly haunted locations in Kansas. Whether you’re interested in learning more about the sometimes morbid history of the state or want to explore new places with friends, here are some upcoming events to help get you in the mood for Halloween.
Ghosting Lawrence: A Theatrical Tour of Downtown Haunts
Host Ric Averill will take a tour group through Lawrence to witness live reenactments of the city’s more well-known ghosts. Actors will bring to life historical figures like Mathilda Erikson, George ‘Nash’ Walker and Larkin Skaggs. The tour will visit several places across the city including the McAlister Hotel, the Eldridge Hotel, Sigma Nu House, the Wax Bar, the Toy Store and more.

- Tickets – $20 for students and older adults, $25 for adults and $30 on the day of the show.

Haunted Clinton Hotel
Flint Hills Paranormal is leading a ghost exploration of the Clinton Hotel for three nights in early October. People will be able to join paranormal investigators in a search of the upper floor of the historic structure.

Historic Topeka Cemetery Ghost Tours
The Friends of the Historic Topeka Cemetery are hosting a ghost tour through one of the state’s oldest cemeteries. Attendees will learn about notorious people buried there including murderers, the victims of killings and others.

- When – Oct. 10-11.
- Tickets – $10 per person.

Public Tour and Ghost Hunt at the Historic Topeka Cemetery
Ghost Light Paranormal (GLP) is leading a public investigation of the supernatural at the Historic Topeka Cemetery that will give people a chance to learn about the grounds and who is buried there. GLP founder and investigator Scott Price told 27 News this is the first time his organization has hunted for ghosts at this location.

- When – 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Sept. 20.
- Tickets – $20 donation to the Historic Topeka Cemetery.

Admire School Public Investigation
Flint Hills Paranormal is taking a tour group through the old Admire School in its first-ever paranormal investigation at this location. People will explore the school alongside Flint Hills Paranormal at they search for ghosts within the building.

- When – 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Oct. 18.
- Tickets – $15 per person.
