EMPORIA (KSNT) – Nissan is donating one of its Pathfinders to the Flint Hills Technical College.
The car will help students in the school’s automotive technology department learn to fix newer vehicles which have their own range of problems and bugs that older cars don’t.
“We are going to put bugs in this vehicle,” automotive instructor Robert Sieberns said. “What I mean by that is we are going to put problems intentionally into this vehicle for the students to diagnose.”
“They are really great, teachers are great, the financial aid is great, and everybody they stands by your side,” first year student Brett Oelke said. “And if you have a question, there is no such thing as a stupid one, just ask it.”
Today’s donation comes after the Flint Hills Technical College saw a wave of support from small businesses in past weeks as the college looks to make some improvements over the next few years.
