TOPEKA (KSNT) – Halloween pop ups have become an essential part of the October festivities, and several bars and restaurants have already gotten into the spooky spirit.
Whether you like specialty menus, spooky speakeasies or terrifying décor, Halloween pop ups are a great way to enjoy the holiday season with friends and family. Here are some places you can visit locally in northeast Kansas:
In Topeka:
- Apparition has taken over Axe & Ale. From now until Nov. 1, experience 13 spine-tingling cocktails in a bar tended by the dead. Every ticket purchased comes with the opportunity to channel your inner axe-murderer by getting 13% off axe throwing while you enjoy the themed drinks.
- Brews & Boos at the 785 Beer Company – Brewery & Restaurant. All October long, enjoy Halloween cocktails and mocktails and themed decorations. On Halloween night, it will host a costume contest and kids eat free with the purchase of a regular pizza.
- Boo at the Zoo on Oct. 18 and 25. This fun and safe Halloween trick-or-treating event allows families to walk around the zoo in costumes while the animals get special themed treats.

In Manhattan:
- Witches Night Out on Oct. 17-18 and Oct. 24-25 with MHK Caravan Co. This is a witchy bar crawl on the party bus! Experience all the specialty cocktails and themed bars that Manhattan has to offer, and some of MHK Caravan Co’s signature drinks and experiences.
- Trick of Treat the ‘Ville from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 10 downtown Aggieville will be filled with costumes and candy. Shops will be open for trick or treating, and the fun will be followed by the 2025 Kansas State Homecoming Parade.
- Halloween Bingo at Liquid Art Winery and Estate from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 30. There will be dinner plus three free rounds of bingo and a costume contest! In addition dinner and bingo, Liquid Arts Winery and Estate will be serving up their signature Halloween pop-up drink menu.
