KANSAS (KSNT) – If you’re headed out to trick-or-treat tonight, here are some important safety reminders.
The American Red Cross says children are at a 10 times higher risk of being hit by a car on Halloween. That’s why Safe Kids Kansas recommends a focus on making sure your children can be seen.

“Things like cool necklaces, or you can use the glow sticks that are very popular.” said Cherie Sage of Safe Kids Kansas. “you can use any of those things, reflective tape, just to make sure you can be seen with your costume by drivers.”
If you’re driving tonight, make sure to keep an eye out for trick or treaters.
