MANHATTAN (KSNT) – The CiCo Ballfields in Manhattan will be renamed following a 10-year naming rights agreement approved by city commissioners.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4, Parks Director of Parks and Recreation Aaron Stewart talked to city commissioners about a naming rights resolution that was passed last December. According to Stewart, the Manhattan Parks and Recreation Foundation has formed a 10-year $500,000 partnership for the naming rights of the CiCo Ballfields.
As part of the agreement, the ballfields will be renamed the Steel and Pipe Supply Ballpark after a business that operates in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. A representative from Steel and Pipe Supply presented a $500,000 check to Manhattan Mayor Karen McCulloh.

Stewart said the agreement would help provide for the park’s long-term maintenance.
“This is so exciting,” said City Commissioner Jayme Minton. “So big thanks to Steel and Pipe Supply and Matt back there.”
The city commissioners voted unanimously to approve the naming rights agreement. You can watch the meeting again on YouTube by clicking here.
