TOPEKA (KSNT) – After nine years, Happy Basset Brewing Co on 29th street in Topeka will be closing its doors.
Farewell drinks happened this weekend at the brewery. The closure is taking place because the owner didn’t resign the lease, deciding he wanted the business under one roof. People were encouraged to come by and “kill all the kegs!”
27 News talked to one bartender who tells us what he will miss most about the location.
“It was a great time working here,” Bartender Michael Poston said “I was allowed to be myself and make my own brand, and meet some really cool people.”
Happy Basset Southwest 49th street location will remain open.
