MANHATTAN (KSNT) — Manhattan is ready for the holidays.
The 13th annual Festival of Lights lit up the night sky in the Little Apple on Nov. 28. Community members gathered to turn on the lights of a nearly 70-foot-tall Christmas tree.
Other light displays, like the Grinch and a gingerbread house, are also set up around the Blue Earth Plaza. Festival-goers also got to see a drone show set to well-known Christmas tunes, along with a special appearance from Santa Claus.

“I really like getting to listen to the Christmas music and hang out with my friends before while we’re waiting on the actual show to start, just hanging out with the people that I love,” Emmaly Hagemeister said. “It’s gonna be glorious, I’m very excited.”
Organizers previously told 27 News the Festival of Lights takes three days to set up. If you’d like to see the tree in person, it’s staying up through the New Year.
