TOPEKA (KSNT) – Shawnee County leaders approved a payment to a contractor for repair work at a local conference center Monday morning.
Shawnee County commissioners met on Dec. 8 to approve several items, including a contract with Stark Industrial for emergency boiler pump repairs and update at the Maner Conference Center. The total cost of the contract is listed at just over $63,500.
Justin Landon, director of the Shawnee County Facilities Management Department, told commissioners the improvements at the conference center include the installation of two new pumps, new pipe configuration and filter feeder for water treatment and filtration.
“This work has been completed, and it is up and operational,” Landon said.
