BROWN COUNTY (KSNT) – A northeast Kansas school district has announced that its upcoming varsity baseball season is canceled this year.
South Brown County Schools announced in a social media post on Feb. 10 that it has decided to cut the upcoming varsity baseball season. The reason cited for this cancelation is a lack of participating players in the program.
“We would still like to participate in a JV schedule depending on numbers and game availability. We truly appreciate the students who showed interest and dedication, and we encourage continued involvement in our other spring sports and activities.”
USD 430 statement
USD 430 said the decision was made after careful consideration. It thanked players and families for their understanding regarding the season cancellation and reaffirmed its support to local athletes.
