TOPEKA (KSNT) – A large shopping center in Topeka has released a new parental escort policy for guests.
West Ridge Mall announced on social media on Friday, March 6 that will be enforcing a new parental escort policy for guests moving forward. The mall said this is being implemented to help create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for visitors, tenants and families.
Guests at the mall will need to abide by the new policy on two days during the week. The policy requires that mall guests who are younger than 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian after 3 p.m. until close on Friday and Saturday evenings.
“This policy is in place not only to ensure a comfortable shopping environment for all visitors, but also to support the safety and well-being of minors while they are at the mall. We appreciate the cooperation of parents and guardians in helping us make sure young guests are properly supervised during our busiest times.”
