BROWN COUNTY (KSNT) – A casino in northeast Kansas closed its doors on Monday afternoon.
Golden Eagle Casino in Brown County suddenly shut its doors at 4 p.m. on March 16, per a social media statement. The casino cited “technical difficulties” as the reason for the closure.
A staff member of the casino told 27 News that a server issue prompted the casino to close early. It will remain closed for the rest of the day.
The casino states that it is expected reopen to the public at noon on Tuesday, March 17. Its Buffalo Cafe will open at 5 p.m. on March 17 for dinner services as well.

Golden Eagle Casino can be found at 1121 Goldfinch Rd. a short distance west of Horton. The Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas owns and operates the casino.
