TOPEKA (KSNT) – Russel Stukey with Riley County Emergency Services joined 27 News on Friday morning to chat about being prepared for the worst situations.
Stukey touched on several topics such as emergency preparedness, severe weather season, prescribed fire season, the importance of putting together emergency kits, spring burning and more on March 20.
“Just to be prepared so that you have the right clothes for the day, the right shoes for the day, the right supplies, an umbrella or a stocking cap at this time of the year,” Stukey said when talking about why it is important to be prepared for when disaster strikes.
