JEFFERSON COUNTY (KSNT) – State troopers report a local woman is dead after she hit a building while driving in Jefferson County on Saturday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred just before 10:30 p.m. on March 21 at the intersection of Third Street and Winchester Street in the town of Winchester in Jefferson County. Only one vehicle was involved in this crash.
A woman driving a 2020 Chevrolet Blazer was traveling north on Third Street when, for an unknown reason, she drifted off the road to the right. She then hit a nearby building.

The KHP said the driver and sole occupant of the Chevrolet, 83-year-old Winchester resident Connie Wistuba, died in the crash. She wore a seatbelt during the crash.
