TOPEKA (KSNT) – The City of Topeka is welcoming two new faces in top leadership positions Friday.
The City of Topeka announced on March 27 that Jason Tryon and Patricia Biggs will be taking up two major leadership roles within the city’s staff. Tryon will serve as the new director of Public Works, while Biggs will take up the position as chief information officer.
Tryon has previous experience working in planning and allocation in various roles before he started working for the City of Topeka in November 2020 as a business services manager. He later served as the deputy director of Public Works. Since joining the city’s staff, Tryon has worked in supervisory positions in parking, facilities, internal services and fleet before he became interim Public Works director last year.
Biggs previously served as interim director and deputy director of the city’s information division. Her career experience in the field spans several decades and includes knowledge gained through university academia, private consulting and public service.
