TOPEKA (KSNT) – Topeka City Manager Robert Perez stopped by the 27 News studio Monday to chat about big construction projects and the city’s budget going into 2027.
Perez answered questions on large-scale projects such as the Union at Tower District and The Hutch apartments under construction in Topeka. He also talked about some recent city appointments for two top leadership roles: Director of Public Works Jason Tryon and Chief Information Officer Patricia Biggs.
Perez also took time to talk about the city’s budget for 2027. People can take part in a survey on the budget until April 17.
“In addition to the public hearings that we’ll have about budget, right now we do have a 2027 budget survey that’s online,” Perez said. “It’ll be up for another couple weeks, it’s been up for a few weeks already.”
