TOPEKA (KSNT) -With gas prices increasing, lawn mowing companies are one of many businesses that have been directly affected by this change.
Topeka’s gas prices have increased by nearly a dollar higher than they were last month. Last year alone, local business Clean Cut Lawn Care based in Topeka used roughly 16,000 gallons of fuel — but they predict this year will be closer to 18,000 gallons. With this jump in prices, they believe they will spend an extra $15,000 to $20,000 more on gas.

“Our industry just runs on gas, and basically everything uses gas, our trucks, mowers, trimmers, we do tree care as well. So, every piece of equipment uses gas,” said an operator from Clean Cut Lawn Care, Jaxson Roberts.
Clean Cut Lawn Care say they will be keeping their prices the same and not increasing them just because of the price increase. They are hoping this will not be a big problem down the road.
