TOPEKA (KSNT) – The City of Topeka wants your opinion.
City officials are inviting people to weigh in on the 2027 Topeka city budget as local leaders seek to address a $15 million deficit. Through this survey, members of the community can voice their opinions on what they think are the biggest priorities to be taken care of in the city.
Working for you, 27 News’ Savannah Meier sat down with District 8 Topeka City Councilmember Murray McGee the morning of Thursday, April 2 to discuss his thoughts on Topeka’s top priorities.
“I’ll state my opinion, and I have a background in local government, is that I think it’s one of the key responsibilities of local government is your infrastructure, and that’s a key element to supporting a community,” McGee said.
