OSAGE COUNTY (KSNT) – State troopers report an Osage County man is hospitalized after an early morning crash near Overbrook Thursday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred a little after 5:20 a.m. on April 2 on U.S. Highway 56 two miles east of Overbrook. A driver in a 2020 Kia Telluride was heading east on the highway at the time of the crash.
The driver in the Kia crossed the centerline of Highway 56, colliding with a 2016 freightliner box truck. The Kia’s driver, a 29-year-old man from Pomona, had serious injuries following the crash.

The KHP said medical personnel transported the Pomona man to a Topeka hospital for treatment of his injuries. The driver of the box truck, a 35-year-old man from Gardner, had no injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
