TOPEKA (KSNT) – Students, alumni and Kansas State Wildcat fans are coming together for K-State Day of Giving on April 8, a 24-hour fundraising event focused on supporting programs across the university.
The annual event encourages members of the Wildcat community to give back, with donations going toward scholarships, campus programs and student organizations. University leaders say these funds play a key role in helping students stay enrolled, get involved on campus and access resources they may not otherwise have.
Organizers said every contribution can help create more opportunities for students and strengthen the overall campus community.

“The big takeaway is your participation makes a difference,” said Susan Berhow, vice president of marketing communications at the Kansas State University Foundation. “And I hope everybody, whether they can make a small gift or a larger gift, can feel really proud of what they do today.”
In addition to individual donations, the event brings together colleges, departments and student groups across campus, all working toward shared fundraising goals.
Last year, the event raised more than 3.4 million dollars, highlighting the continued support from alumni and donors.
The Day of Giving runs through midnight tonight, and donations can be made online.
