TOPEKA (KSNT) – NASCAR driver Chris Buescher will be visiting the Capital City this month to meet with fans and sign autographs ahead of race weekend at the Kansas Speedway.
Sheila Regehr with Dillons Food Stores said Buescher, driver of the No. 17 Dillons/Gold Peak Mustang, will be visiting a Topeka Dillons store. The event will include the appearance of the Kroger Racing Mustang show car, health and wellness activities, giveaways, the appearance of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile and a performance by Topeka High’s drumline.
Regehr said the event will take place in the parking lot of the north Topeka Dillons located at 800 NW 25th St. on Friday, April 17. The full event schedule is below:
- Celebration from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Topeka High drumline at 3:30 p.m.
- Buescher will sign autographs from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Buescher hails from Prosper, Texas and currently holds the rank of 10, according to his NASCAR stats page. His list of awards includes the 2012 ARCA Series Champion, 2015 NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion and the 2023 NCS Most Improved Driver.

Buescher earned his sixth Cup Series victory in September 2024 at Watkins Glen International for his first road course win in NASCAR’s premier series. He is entering his 10th full-time season in the NASCAR Cup Series as the sixth driver of the No. 17.
