The City of Topeka opened the budget survey for fiscal year 2027 in mid-March this year, ending it on April 18. City officials wanted to gather feedback from the community on what programs residents thought were the most important as they addressed the estimated $15 million budget deficit.
“This feedback provides valuable direction as we continue developing the budget,” said City Manager Robert Perez. “Hearing directly from our residents ensures that our decisions are grounded in community priorities. We appreciate everyone who took the time to participate and share their perspectives.”
