OSAGE COUNTY (KSNT) – Wildlife officials report a 43-year-old hunter is dead after a train hit him last weekend.
Laura Clawson with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) said in a statement to 27 News the incident occurred at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 25 at the intersection of 293rd Street and South Paulen Road northeast of Melvern, Osage County. She said a train hit and killed the hunter.
Clawson said the hunter, 43-year-old Nicholas Pasley from Clarksville, Arkansas, was the victim of the deadly collision. She said that law enforcement agencies such as the Osage County Sheriff’s Office, Osage County Fire and EMS, KDWP, and BNSF Railroad Police responded to the situation. Law enforcement are continuing to investigate the incident.
