TOPEKA (KSNT) – The leader for Downtown Topeka Inc. has exited his role with the organization after less than a year.
Downtown Topeka Inc. confirms with 27 News that Andrew Holt is no longer the president of the organization. Greater Topeka Partnership Vice President of Marketing & Communication Rhett Flood provided the following statement regarding the situation:
“Downtown Topeka Inc. President Andrew Holt is no longer employed with the Greater Topeka Partnership, and his last day with the organization was April 8; as with all personnel matters, we will not be sharing additional details. In the interim, DTI will report to Rhiannon Friedman, President of GO Topeka, who previously served as DTI president and brings deep experience and continuity to the role. We anticipate opening a search for a permanent DTI president in the coming weeks, and current and planned downtown projects will continue moving forward as we remain focused on supporting a vibrant, growing downtown Topeka.”

Downtown Topeka Inc. named Holt as its new president in June 2025 after he left his role as executive director of Downtown Lawrence Inc. He officially stepped into his new role as president of Downtown Topeka Inc. on July 9.
Downtown Topeka Inc. is a non-profit that provides administrative services and oversight for the Capital Business Improvement District, according to its website. It is partnered with other local groups such as the Greater Topeka Partnership, GO Topeka and Visit Topeka.
