TOPEKA (KSNT) – City leaders have approved a land rezoning request this week, clearing the way for the construction of new townhomes in east Topeka.
The Topeka City Council approved an ordinance on May 5 at a vote of 8-2 for a rezoning request from Calupi Investments. The developer asked to rezone just over one acre of land at 2450 Southeast 25th Street from a single-family district to a multi-family dwelling district.
Calupi Investment’s proposal in a recent April city council meeting included plans for the installation of 24 new, 1,650 square foot townhomes with two stories each. The developer’s proposal details that these townhomes will exist in two rows of 12 units on each side that are arranged in a modern residential layout.
