What We’re Tracking
- Heat & humidity to start week
- Storm chances later in the week
- Front slides into the area by the weekend
Areas of clouds and a low chance for a stray shower tonight and into early Monday morning as lows only fall into the upper 70s.
The start of the work week will bring a surge of heat, with temperatures climbing into the upper 90s Monday and Tuesday. Heat index values may reach 105° both days. The wind will remain south/southwesterly and breezy, gusting up to 25mph both Monday and Tuesday.
The heat won’t last all week for all areas, as a cold front is expected to move into the region by the end of the week, bringing temperatures back into the 80s and lower 90s near/north of the front by the end of the week. Areas south of the front will be hotter, so we’ll be watching the front’s position closely throughout the week.
