What We’re Tracking
- Heat & humidity to start week
- Storm chances later in the week
- Front slides into the area by the weekend
Warm and muggy weather this morning with a partly cloudy sky. Some folks are seeing some stray showers. Temperatures have struggled to cool below 80° because of our breezy south wind at 10-15 mph.
More heat this afternoon with temperatures climbing into the upper 90s Tuesday. Heat index values may reach 105° during the afternoon once again.. The wind will remain south/southwesterly at 10-15mph.
The heat won’t last all week for all areas, as a cold front is expected to move into the region by the end of the week, bringing temperatures back into the 80s and lower 90s near/north of the front by the end of the week. Areas south of the front will be hotter, so we’ll be watching the front’s position closely throughout the week.
