Temperatures start the day in the middle to upper 60s. Some folks wake up this morning to some patchy dense fog.
Once any fog burns off Friday, we’ll see a mostly sunny sky with temperatures climbing into the middle and upper 90s, which is seasonable for this time of year. Winds will remain light from the south throughout the day.
Friday night brings another chance for storms across north-central Kansas, with areas northwest of Manhattan currently under a slight risk for severe weather. The primary threats will be gusty winds and hail.
Looking ahead to the weekend, temperatures will be much more comfortable, with highs in the middle 80s both Saturday and Sunday. While there will be slight chances for thunderstorms each day, the better opportunity for more widespread rain arrives late Sunday night.
As we head into the workweek, temperatures will remain seasonable with highs in the middle 80s. The forecast looks mostly dry, providing a pleasant stretch of late-summer weather.
