TOPEKA (KSNT) — The Ichabods get the win to open up the 2026 season.
Washburn volleyball grabbed the 3-1 win over Oklahoma Christian on Thursday night inside Lee Arena.
The Ichabods split the first two sets of the match, but went on to secure sets three and four to grab the win.
The squad was led by Emma Siron with 20 kills and eight digs, followed by Shannon Frakes, who posted a career-high 47 assists and 19 digs. Next were Brynne Topolski, who had 18 kills and 21 digs, and Taylor Rottinghaus who had a team-high 26 digs.
The Ichabods continue play in the Washburn Invitational on Friday against Arkansas Tech at 2 p.m. and William Jewell at 7 p.m.
