BIG RAPIDS, Mi (KSNT) — Sweep, sweep victory for the Lady Hornets in game one.
The Hornets got off to a good start on the day with a sweep (25-19, 25-13, 27-25) over Illinois- Springfield.
Mia Frisbie and Delainee Dexter paced the Hornets with nine kills each while Brooklyn Weaver was right behind with eight. Miyu Tsurumaki led the way with 14 digs.
In game two, the Lady Hornets were swept by No. 10 Ferris state (25-15, 25-22, 25-13).
Lavra Krizanic picked up 10 kills. Krizanic also led the way with 8 digs, tied with Piper Bahr.
The Hornets will close the Ferris State Tournament on Saturday at 10 a.m. against Purdue University Northwest.
