MANHATTAN (KSNT) – An Aggieville restaurant has closed, but won’t remain shuttered for long as it transitions to a new location.
Green Tea Sushi recently shared on social media that it is moving out of its current location to a new spot nearby in the Little Apple’s Aggieville area. The business closed its doors at its old location, 1120 Laramie St., on Aug. 31 and is anticipated to reopen to the public on Sept. 3 at 620 North Manhattan Ave.
Green Tea Sushi staff said the move will give the business more room and a brand-new look at a different space in Aggieville.
“We can’t wait for you to see our new home! With more space, a fresh new atmosphere, and plenty of room to enjoy your favorite sushi and Japanese dishes, we’re excited to welcome everyone through our doors.”

Dennis Cook, executive director of the Aggieville Business Association, told 27 News part of the reason the business is moving is due to ongoing construction in the local area for a new hotel. He said the new space is a huge benefit for the restaurant and will allow Green Tea Sushi to get more attention from visitors to Aggieville.
“This is gonna give them, you know, 10 times more visibility,” Cook said. “They’re gonna be right next to our new parking garage.”
Green Tea Sushi offers a variety of Japanese-style food options to customers including hibachi and teriyaki alongside seafood, salads, soups and more.
