TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Capital City is welcoming the arrival of its first QuikTrip.
The brand-new gas station and store in south Topeka will open at 7 a.m. on the morning of Sept. 3 at 3901 SW Topeka Blvd. From pizza and wings to slushies and coffees, there is a little of everything for everyone at this new gas station and convenience store.
Local officials attended an official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the QuikTrip on Sept. 2, marking the imminent opening of the gas station and revitalization of Topeka Boulevard.
“It also signifies something because QuikTrip goes into areas that they know are being developed and have a future development area,” said Topeka Mayor Spencer Duncan. ”And over the last few years, the last five to 10 years, it’s been very important to watch this boulevard as it’s been brought back.”

QuikTrip confirmed with 27 News in August that its first location in the Capital City would be opening up earlier than expected. The company is also working to bring a second location at 3835 SW 29th St. in Topeka.
