TOPEKA (KSNT) – Police report one person is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a shooting Wednesday night.
Kimberly Qualls with the City of Topeka said in a press release that officers responded to a reported shooting shortly after 8:55 p.m. on Sept. 2 in the 4300 block of Southeast Michigan Avenue. Police arriving at the scene found a man with a gunshot injury.
Medical personnel took the injured man to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Police are still investigating this situation and have identified all individuals involved in the shooting incident. Law enforcement reports there is no threat to the general public due to this recent shooting.
