TOPEKA (KSNT) – Washburn University has changed the time of its first home game again due to weather-related issues.
Officials with Washburn University announced in a press release that its upcoming home football game against Colorado School of Mines is now set for 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5. The game was initially scheduled for a noon kickoff but was then rescheduled for the evening of Saturday due to heat-related concerns and travel issues for the Colorado team.
Washburn recently secured a 27-21 win on the road against Truman State University in Missouri late last month, improving the Ichabods to 1-0 this season. Colorado School of Mines Orediggers are currently 0-1 this season following a 22-20 loss against Western Oregon. For more information about the Washburn football schedule, click here.
