LAKE PERRY (KSNT) – The summer heat isn’t going away just yet, and many are taking advantage of it to get out on the water this holiday weekend.
Businesses around Lake Perry are preparing for a busy Labor Day weekend, expecting to see many boaters enjoying the last weekend of the boating season. Despite higher fuel prices, visitors continue to pack the lake and marinas. To keep things fun, Lake Perry Yachts and Marina has a few things planned.
“You know, we have some fun sales in the store,” said Bryan Best, general manager of Lake Perry Yacht & Marina. “Labor Day is just a busy holiday boat weekend; we have some fun things, like any purchase you’re going to get free beads and free popsicles for the kids to try to keep them cool in the heat if you come by and just visit here at Lake Perry. So otherwise, this is going to be a lot of rentals, a lot of boating, and a lot of fun.”
Two Topeka stores move into West Ridge Mall
While Lake Perry Yacht and Marina won’t close after Labor Day, Captain’s Grille at Lake Perry will close for the season on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
