MANHATTAN (KSNT) – Police in Manhattan encouraged people to avoid driving in an area in the city Monday due to a gas leak which has since been repaired.
Officers with the Riley County Police Department (RCPD) shared in a social media post just before 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 that parts of Anderson Avenue were closed due to a reported gas leak.
RCPD personnel said the closure impacted eastbound and westbound Anderson Avenue from College Heights Road to Lee Street. Police asked that drivers avoid this area while the situation is ongoing.
The RCPD said the closure ended shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 and that Kansas Gas is addressing the situation.
