TOPEKA (KSNT) – Deputy Director Erin Freidline with the Riley County Police Department stopped by the 27 News studio Tuesday morning to chat about upcoming events and school safety measures.
Freidline sat down with 27 News Anchor David George on Sept. 15 to talk about the community night event. The event is currently set for Sept. 29 and will feature law enforcement and other emergency personnel from multiple local agencies.
“It’s just a very light-hearted event and a great opportunity to ask questions and engage an officer and find out what you want to know about your local policing community,” Freidline said.
Freidline also talked about ‘Operation Greek‘ events at Kansas State University. She said these events are good opportunities for college students to meet and interact with officers.
“These are those first steps of being away from mom or dad or a guardian and they gotta figure out how to navigate this,” Freidline said.
