SHAWNEE COUNTY (KSNT) – Numerous residents and businesses in northeast Kansas were without power Thursday afternoon.
Evergy reported on its website that around 1,800 of its customers were without power Thursday. The outage included populated areas like St. Marys, Silver Lake and Rossville.
Evergy initially reported the outage a little after 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 17. The company repaired the outage by 3:30 p.m. on the same day.
Evergy spokesman Matt Lucht said the company lost power to a circuit that serves around 1,900 customers, resulting in a power outage.
